  1. “You know what a high school grad gets from me? A fucking handshake, that’s what. Since when did graduating from high school become an accomplishment? ”

lol, jackal. But still, it’s one of life’s lil’ milestones, like birthdays, anniversary’s and so on. Nothing wrong with commemorating it as such.

I hope you won’t feel the same way about your tenth wedding anniversary 🙂

  2. “First graduating HS is hardly big achievement as Rob pointed out. This isn’t 1940.”

    Jinx.

Actually maybe I would just hold up a $100 bill and tell him that he can have it and maybe a couple more like it the day he tells me he graduates from college or makes an important scientific breakthrough or breaks a world record.

  3. “Denton:
I would argue the nabes in College Point and the South Bronx are not exactly the same as um…Park Slope/Prospect Hts and Fort Greene – ha”

OK G10 but my point was that the stadiums didn’t do much to increase values in those nabes, so why should it increase values in FT Greene (admittedly they are higher there to begin with). Who (besides East New York, lol) would want to live next to a sports arena?

Second , I think you said family lacks for nothing doesn’t sound like is going to use for some college fund. Just more play money (buy a dime bag or something).

    I give $50 for xmas and birthdays $10 for a 10 year old, $15 for a 15 y.o. , etc.

I probably gave $50 for hs graduation. I also have 14 nieces and nephews.

  5. You know what a high school grad gets from me? A fucking handshake, that’s what. Since when did graduating from high school become an accomplishment? Otherwise what does it take to graduate from high school these days, half a brain and an ability to not blow your brains out from wasting 7 hours a day listening to idiots? Do we give people money for getting out of prison???

  6. hey benson, I was in CU the other day, chatting with a high up guy there… he said CU was the third best engineering school. I always thought it was the best. What are the better two?
