I’m don’t want you to tell “W” that he is a lesser person… I’m just trying to point out that doormen have a *limited* role to play in the scheme of a neighborhood. If the doormen disappeared in all of the buildings, the impact would be primarily on the well-heeled folks that “depend” on their services. I’m glad “W” does a great job. But to lionize his position and say he is an “integral” part of the the New York street “ballet” and that, basically, the neighborhood would collapse without “W” and other doormen… well, that’s silly talk.
I don’t think those are the same people, bxgrl. There were people who hated him before for standing in the way. And there were people who respected him then, but now hate him for selling out. On the plus side, the two camps can now be united in their unhappiness with him! Maybe that was his intention?
How am I a hypocrite??? I was alwayd for AY. You can see that in my posts.
I can make as much money (over 7 years like he did) in the stock market without being a hypocrite. I’ve never professed to have any higher ideals than those you see here.
Agreeing to any sort of a gag order, however, makes me question whether or not he had motives for fighting this so-called good fight outside of financial ones.
Yes, Snappy. The others don’t seem to understand this point. LOL
Ringo: Ding ding ding ding!!!! You get the prize!!!! This greedy little grub gets a $3 million payday and the ENTIRETY OF BROOKLYN gets a shittier project. So thanks assholes. Thanks for protesting so this guy can get paid. Thanks for the marches and the letter writing campaigns. Thanks for giving us half of the project that we would otherwise get and thanks for giving this guy a payday for it.
I think its hilarious that the people who have been screaming for his head because he was a hold out not scream he’s a lowlife for getting out of the way. Very funny. Not logical, but very funny.
However dave, if you want to complain about NIMBY’s why don’t you move your hypocritical little self into the area and show us how its done?
I’ll never fault Goldstein for pushing for a big settlement amount…we’d all do the same. Agreeing to any sort of a gag order, however, makes me question whether or not he had motives for fighting this so-called good fight outside of financial ones.
