  1. I’m just laughing at all the righteous, principled, high and mighty, anti-AY supporters he always seems to get here whenever we discuss AY.

If he planned it this way, he was very cunning and very smart. Otherwise, he just got bought out and abandoned his principles.

  2. Not to begrudge doormen (it’s the union I have issues with) but they didn’t bring in a few billion dollars of revenue to which they would certainly be entitled to a $10-200MM bonus at GS or JPM or anywhere else.

  3. I see your points, but I can’t judge people who gve their lives in the public arena that way. I once went to a death penalty protest – people were there who were relatives of murder victims counterprotesting. Unless I’m involved in some way, I can’t judge. I just follow to see how the chess match ends.

  4. “At least 400k a year for his work”

You mean the work of the gullible people he got to advocate on his behalf? I hope he’s handing out checks. OTOH no I don’t, they all should have known better.

  5. ” that he’s a lesser part of our town than other people.”

But I’ll think I’ll leave that to somebody else.”

I’m with you, NOP. Unbelievable hating on doormen. Regular people trying to make a living and support families. Wow. Over a 2.5% raise. Wow.

Why isn’t there similar outrage for the financial services guys that got their crazy bonuses and raises. Holy mother of G*d.

  6. DIBS this is so classic. Absolutely love it.

NONONONO don’t develop the AY!!! My poor neighborhood!!!!! Waaaahhh!!! Everyone do marches and hold up signs OMG the poor people are going to get screwed!!! I hate corporations!!!!! Forest City Ratner is a big bad evil corporation that wants to do bad things to poor people and minorities and stuff!!!!! Waaaaahhh waaaaahh!!! Oh wait you want to give me a few million bucks and tell me to STFU? OK, no problem. Awesome.”

  7. low-life ? I think turns out sharp business-man.
Spent a couple years, raising money, harassing the project —and got pretty good pay?
do the math —–At least 400k a year for his work.
Good for him.(and glad won’t have to hear more from him).
