to answer a previous post- yes, there is a video. I’ve seen it and you can see very clearly a man with hands on both sides of his mouth shouting and turning as Lewis walks by. the guy sort of jumps and Lewis reacts to something hitting his face. And he is furious.
The tea party had a lot of good points but is taken over these days by irrational folk who live and die by hyperbole. Not only do they not want to really know about the bill, but they refuse to accept any factual data that shows positive benefits. Like Lechacal says, the anger is not about issues, its about liberalism. A liberalism they’ve defined and doesn’t have much resemblance to the real thing, so far as I can tell. Now they are talking about forming their own militias. My question still remains- where were they when Bush was in office and blowing billions?
Look at it this way. When your opposition is left to resorting to the racist card, without YET producing a shred of evidence, you know they are running on empty. Laugh it off -it’s what I do.
“The signs the Tea Party people carry tells me everything I need to know. That ‘Browning’ gun poster said it all = irrational kooks.”
Really???? I just did a google images search and almost all of the signs I saw were all about the deficit, federal spending, gov’t programs, etc. One “browning poster” (whatever that is) makes all of them “irrational kooks”? Does that mean every OT regular is a liberal with a cat?
DIBS, Montrose and all- newsflash – 4 in 10 folks who identify themselves as a tea-partier also identify themselves as either a Democrat or an independent:
“to some people anyone who disagrees with the obama administration is a RAAAAAAAACIST no matter what.”

Go “Google” Tea Party signs [plural], lech. I know your game is to play contrarian, and you’ve seen them. You know what I’m talking about.
How about the ‘We came unarmed [this time] sign, etc. ad nauseum.
