I think the suggestions you guys have made that I give her some idea of what I learned (so she doesn’t bring anyone else there), and tell her I can’t reveal my source, are good ones. I think she’ll be just as happy to sell me something else.

I saw Cameron Diaz in real life twice (once by Central Park and once last year on the highline after some event she was walking from). She is borderline anorexic and her skin is really bad. They do a good job on her with makeup. She is not good looking AT ALL.
I had a run in with a very arrogant and sleazy broker last night. i called him Monday and set up an appointment to see a house. Over the phone he told me that the house wass in excellent condition but was three units, not the legal 2. He also told me that the price was totally non-negotiable (it’s a short sale) and I told him that was rather up to the bank and not him. he said it was up to him.
So i went to see the house and , except for new wiring and a relatively new furnace, it was CRAPTASTIC, carved into maybe 4 units with someobody living in a room in the basement. he told me it was owner occupied and it is not.
Healthcare has been in crisis since Truman who was vilified for suggesting fixes.
Wish we’d just listened to Cobble at 10:30 or so – that we should just drop all this kind of topic before it gets into the same messy merry-go-round we always ride on these topics.

That was a good lunch. I ate lentil soup and an eggplant bean salad and felt smugly superior to benson and cobblehiller.
