Noki,
I only know court reporters. I’m not sure that’s what you are looking for. And the quality varies within the company — they are big and you don’t get to pick who they send.
Not gonna comment on attempts to reinvigorate the laffer curve.
Etson, while I really don’t wanna get into this, I simply must ask you…how can SS benefits be too high? If you’ve paid into the system and had that $$ taken out of your paychecks, why shouldn’t you get it back? Especially when talking about “means tested.” Sure, millionaires and billionaires may not truly *need* the SS benefits, financially speaking, but if they’ve paid into it, why shouldn’t they get it back?
i can honestly say that i have never bought a piece of furniture in my life! actually, no, i bought a couch used last year that was the first piece of furniture i ever bought. it just seems like such a silly thing to waste money on when people are always giving it away and throwing it out!!! (you see, this is why i have a huge fear of bedbugs btw). it’s like playing with fire..
Oh, that and Medicare and Social Security taxes are way too high, in part because Social Security benefits are too high, or at least too universal (not means tested, in some ways the reverse).
Hey *Precious*, just so we have it straight, you are the BH that’s going to meet us one of these days but didn’t make it to the Duplex cause you had a bday memory lapse right?
I think the biggest tax problem is at the state level. It mystifies me how different states can tax at such different rates for providing essentially the same services.

Here I am in my home office. I think it may be time to file a few things.
