Hey *Precious*, just so we have it straight, you are the BH that’s going to meet us one of these days but didn’t make it to the Duplex cause you had a bday memory lapse right?
in a nutshell, this is the “New York” formula (which I only learned after many years, but from what I understand is how generations of families have worked it)
1. graduate from a high school,( preferrably a catholic high school).
2. take a job in one of the city or state services (all good respectable jobs) such as:
-court officer
-DOT
-Port Authority
-State Psychiatric hospital service
3. Pay taxes as necessary
4. retire after 20-30 at age 40-50
5. collect very, very generous pension funded by current taxpayers and built upon by generations of workers before
6. move to no tax state like Florida and open a cash only business.
I wish the College recruiters had come to my high school and presented this simple and straight forward solution to the anxiety of future employment. It is a viable strategy, unfortunately, it is falling apart from over inflated pensions without realistic views of current economic factors and more state/city taxes to fund the pensions.
DH, I would add a gmail account, but that would require me to recall yet another password 🙂 Seriously though, I can get the hotmail through the built in mail feature on my mac and it updates the inbox without having to open a browser. Convenience 🙂
want to meet up? I’m planning to drop by Ikea this weekend too. Had my son with me yesterday and he lost interest in Ikea the moment we strolled out of the toy section and scolded him to not pull down the signs hence need to go there to pick out the stuff for my crown heights pad (yes, I’m freaking finally going to renovate the place before it hits its 3rd yr of ownership)
And I actually do need to go to HD! Gotta get plastic painter’s tarp so I can stop dousing my floor with glitter as I work on my B’Stoner tee shirt for the 22nd. My kitchen floor and sink are quite sparkly!

haha rob – what’s wrong with that? i’m ensured it won’t have bed bugs!!
not necessarily. there are nefarious individuals out there who carry around bedbugs in a ziplock bag and go to furniture stores and abandon the little critters there 🙁 so really, you aint safe anywhere!!
Snappy, did you change your email? or are you just ignoring mine?
I emailed you cause I WAS gonna make a Home Depot run today and wanted to know if you wanted/needed to join.
I’m now going over the weekend with the Man of the House.
