I had to step in and tell her to ‘Shut the fuck up.’
Jesus would have been proud of me!

Why is it lately at every holiday there is a debacle at our family gathering?!?!
Yesterday, a verbal altercation between two family members. One family member doesn’t know how to keep her mouth shut and must comment about everything. I had to step in and tell her to ‘Shut the fuck up.’
Jesus would have been proud of me!
I have a great friend in KC who I keep threatening to visit — but I haven’t been there in a while. I haven’t seen the new wing — they were building it when I was there.
Donatella – I also checked out the new wing at the Nelson-Atkins. Very impressive.
AH, lechacal, the truth emerges……. Good, I am glad you were on W39th street. Except for places like that, KC is pretty sad. Except for the BBQ, but you know that……
Paris Commune still exists I think – just not in the same spot. They have to keep changing locale to keep from being harassed by the anti-socialists.
“too bad you didn’t have a guide. Go to W 39th Street west of Main and there are a bunch of ethnic restaurants there”
Ha! Actually my wife (born and raised in KC) is my guide, and I have been coming here for years so I know the city really well. There’s actually a lot of great stuff in KC. I was just attempting to post something amusing (but the part about the church was true). I actually had AWESOME Chinese food on 39th St two days ago, a couple of blocks from where I got marries (The Loretto on 39th).
“a pizzeria named DA Bronx, where you can get awesome pizza by the slice made by people from THE BRONX.”
Yes- we are a rare and exotic people, solely defined by the innate ability to create magnificent pizza. Among other magnificent things we create 🙂
