And what’s your point legion? Get rid of social security? Baby boomers paid into the system, you know. The more people, the more money. So say poor dave starts taking out his money- would you throw him to the wolves? Got a solution? Other than insulting baby boomers as bringing down the country?
the plan calls for an immediate expansion of the medicaid program in all states to cover those folks just above the previous income guidelines. the expansion moves the entitlement to those at or below 133% of the fed guidelines.
the medicaid plans are administered by the state and funded by the state and fed government.
Imagine the scenario in California which is already holding back refund checks, they are now being asked to expand the medicaid program to another couple of million people. I don’t know how much each medicaid recipient costs on average, but I do know that the state is only running because of federal stimulus funds. This expansion is forever.
DIBS- saying Bush was inept is not taking responsibility for the failure of conservative policies, is it? This is not forward thinking- its forgetting. And you know what they say about those who forget the past? They’re condemned to repeat it. No thanks.
I regularly get statements from SS telling me what my payout will be. I’m happy to say that at somewhere between $1,400 and $1,800 per month, depending when I opt to start taking it, that will come in handy for my bar bills.
You two look older.
[Ducking for cover.]

The policies are not a failure, bxgrl. It was the implementation.
Was Giuliani a failure?? Were his conservative policies a failure? Absolutely not.
Congress is a failure more so than any particular president can be blamed. Then and now.
DIBS, I’m already getting those statements, I’m not 50, yet.

I’ve been getting those statements for years. 50 isn’t the magic number.

You start getting statements at age 50.
Pete – Was the problem actually in the house or downed lines because of weather?
