Got it. Because I actually read that article and he was basically saying exactly that. But never mind. I’ve never found much other than campaign bashing points in your “dialogues” at any rate. it is not my estimation of social security, it is the congressional budget office’s own estimation.

70 million boomers reaching retirement age in the next 10-20 years,
even at a $500 per month payout that’s 35 billion a month to meet the social security promise. we are running trillion plus deficits as it stands, and if interest rates go up our cost of servicing that debt alone will wipe out that 35 billion a month social security bill. where is the money coming from with a shrinking work force. we won’t have 5 workers for every 1 retiree as we had when FDR signed the bill.
Legion, would you agree that people think there’s less free market in health insurance companies than the average person believes? That they are heavily regulated as to what they have to pay, who to cover, etc? Especially w Medicare and Medicaid?
I have to be careful cuz I use my real name but I hear all kinds of horror stories involving health insurance that leads me to believe that there’s not much in the way of free markets left in the biz.
let complain about verizon. At the weekend house, we get up there friday evening. Phone not working and so therefore no internet service either.

all this automated stuff…then auto-voice says should be fixed by monday 8PM! wonderful service. Of course if they show up today we won’t be there.
How many hours on the phone(how many years off my life) would it take to get the 3 days of charges reduced from my bill?

Well, legion- there seem to be plenty of people who don’t agree with your assessment on social security.
