  1. JB, depends on how much you like or dont like kids. if you marry the right guy, married life shouldn’t be that diff from when you were dating him seriously. It’s popping out the kid that changes things – ie the little bugger sucks up a lot of time, $$$$, sq footage,… I love kids so the little mini-me is the best thing since marrying my bossy wife. all frustrations disappear when I’m playing with him

  2. Agree with cmu, Pete (much as that pains me), and Arkady. My tenants’ rent was always under market, and I always responded quickly to resolve any problem. When I had good tenants who wanted to renew, I didn’t raise the rent because it was more important to share my house with good tenants.

  3. “JB, as long as you like your gig, no rush to change. but if you get married, pop out a mini-me, maybe then cushy boring gig is more attractive”

    That’s the million dollar question, M4L, is having a family that great that it’s worth sacrificing other aspects of your life?

  4. CGar;

    here’s the post;

    CGar here’s a link for you:

    My brother used to run into a gym to shower before work; he says that with these shirts he no longer has to.

    It’s strange to me that excessive perspiration is the topic that finally lured me out of lurkdom. Back to lurking!

    m4l,
    just me.

    and a small army of hired thugs. 😉

  5. m4l, I agree with that. My in-house jobs are definitely cushy compared to my hours in private practice.

    I agree, JB, though it took me a lot longer to find a job that I enjoy and a nice work-life balance. It wasn’t until I went in house in 2007 really.
