Speaking so much about the spectrum of human races and emphasizing the reality of our true sameness,
we have this article about a recently discovered “3rd” species of human-like creature discovered in Siberia recently.
so about 40,000 years ago we had
Humans, Neandertals and this new species sharing the planet.
shows how quickly geographic isolation, environmental pressures and genetic drift can alter a species.
Snappy, ENY, others as applicable – serious question, and please ignore my judgmental post on the subject when you answer: do you prefer the term African American or black? Do you feel that someone is being more respectful to you when they refer to you one way or the other? Does the race of the speaker matter?

I think African-American is somewhat strange term, and I prefer “black.” But if people use African-American, I don’t mind. I so remember when that term came into prominence I thought it was dumb.
I’ve been around a lot of black and white people in sweaty situations. I’ve always thought there was a perceptibly different odor. Keep in mind sweat can smell really good in the appropriate context. But the worst BO I ever experienced was from a black dude I was playing basketball against. Whew! I remember he literally smelled like dynamite.
denton, we worry most about the big cap names and trades that the hedge funds dominate, gold being at the top of the list.
Our strategy here at the firm is small caps and it has served this fund well since inception in 1993. Back then there was really no such phrase as “a crowded trade” but that seems to dominate the market nowadays.
Also, we try and stay away from things heavily institutionally owned as we feel the lonnger term outlook is retiring baby boomers drawing from institutionally-managed accounts.
That said, we’re still very much long C going into the earnings announcement April 16. hopefully they will pre-announce and then we’ll sell.
The 7-room, 3-bdrm at 1 Pierrepont (recent CotD) just got chopped $500K to $4M. Just in case that was holding you back.

yeah rob, that looks like the one. There used to be a simpler one to match 1040EZ but I guess that’s gone…
dibs,
If you’re Irish you may have more Spanish in you than you know, you’ve heard the story behind “black irish” right?

yes, I know all about the “black Irish.” Some of them are quite hot.
I’ve had more Spanish in me of various nationalities than I can even count.
