“The Prez is a lot smarter than the opposition. Some day they may even realize this.”
Good point ENY– I think Obama is starting realize this himself. It always seems to take a set back for new Presidents to understand the power of the megaphone they have at their disposal. In this case the Scott Brown election seems to have been the kick in the tuchus Obama needed to get this thing done. CErtainly doing nothing would have been way more of a Jonestown.
Bxgrl–should have dashed after you but it would have been tricky. Next time you are in that neck of the woods drop me an email.
My healthcare cents. I agree something had to be done.
US currently spends 15% of GDP on healthcare, next highest is Switzerland @ 11%. That difference in outlay could be spent on jobs creation, education and lower taxes.
32 million more will increase that % unless execution is done well. (My worry, will follow TSA model).
If you need a job head to DC. Pencil pushers will rule.
Wasder- oh no! We would have loved to have met the wasderettes. We were out for a walk- weather was so beautiful so we ambled all over. We love OutPost but had already eaten brunch at a really nice place we want to tell Jon about.
We found some really interesting architecture on some side streets so MM was inspired.

M4L: What did I tell you last year about the Twins and Joe Mauer?
Dibs – Demonstrators yelling epithets at John Lewis & Barney Franks & no GOP repudiation: just comments on free speech.
I think my Canadian taxes are already actually lower than all-in in NYC. That gap will only widen.
Maybe I’ll stay up here.

Why not? Let it rip. The Prez is a lot smarter than the opposition. Some day they may even realize this.
