legion, I can understand your concerns, really, I do. Unfortunately, this is the result of the Republican frame of mind at the moment. I suspect that many R’s would have PREFERRED to vote for this in a better atmosphere, but the current climate won’t allow it.
For 8 years I lived though watching our government make me/us pay for things I didn’t want to pay for, that helped no one, made rich people richer, killed thousands of our young people and made me literally scared for our future — fiscally and as a human being.
I’d rather help [any] PEOPLE get HEALTH CARE that they need.
Legion–you already have health insurance. Nobody is going to “make” you buy it. That is the point. For those of us who can afford it or have it through work this will not change anything.
I have something cool to show you guys. German engineering at its finest (I think it’s German)….If you get bored just fast forward to about the middle of the video.
Credit default swaps help greece get into the euro which in turn lowered their interest rates and their cost of debt coverage. Structural issues is what got greece into this mess.
let’s see how this plays out then,
I just don’t like the way it’s being done
there is a distinct air of trickery involved.
believe me, if this was passed as the original
senate version without reconciliation and
without kickbacks and with bipartisanship as
previous massive bills have been,
I would be talking about wombats or something.

delepp,
agreed,
and we need to look no further than California,
our most populated state,
they are running on stimulus fumes right now.
they are holding back tax refunds.
but this new bill will somehow fix all that.
not buying it,
although I will be forced to
buy it in the end I guess. now that it’s
becoming law. lol.
