  1. I have a great idea for how the MTA can make a LOT more money.

Turn the last car in every train into a bar and sell alcohol and munchies. Maybe they can be coffee bars in the A.M.

Or a mix…..so that all the hot illegal, undocumented workers heading back home in the early morning can drink beer and mingle with the A.M. coffee crowd!!!!!

  2. “cobble is right, benefits are a pretty big expense for a company”

When you have a chance, DH, if you would/have the patience, please explain the dollar VALUE and the intangible VALUE of having benefits from your employer.

The ipso facto SAFETY NET that Rob has, and is mind-numbingly ignorant about.

  3. “so are all your dirty std infested barely legal manwhores”

*ROB*!!!! I love you (no homo), but go have a smoke. I think the fact that it’s 70 outside and prolly 90 in your office is getting to you. Besides, Cobble doesn’t bash gays, in my experience, she prefers to *THWACK* the gays.

  4. and you know what really bothers me Legion, is that you probably can’t name what cost containment measures, including fraud and abuse control, are not in the bill that you think should be in the bill. there is also something on every other category that you mentioned. maybe you might say, it doesn’t go far enough, but I bet you don’t have a well-formed opinion of what tort reform should be in there that’s not, either.

    blowfish,

I’m trying to eat my sandwich here!

we know this much as far as tort reform in this bill,
the only stipulation the President wanted to add to the existing senate bill was a proposal for a “study” on savings in healthcare with tort reform measures.

so the grand healthcare reform bill, all encompassing, all knowing…proposes to study the issue.
hello…every doctor asked about this damned problem tells you it’s a major problem in healthcare.

we also know that it proposes to “fund” itself by cutting back on Medicare, to the tune of 500 billion!
you know what that means…it means cutting doctor reimbursements through the medicare program.
which means that doctors will leave medicine altogether.
    for good.

it means that more doctors will opt for a “boutique practice”
    pay as you go.

    …now back to my lunch.
