  1. Legion, South Koreans dominate the Mens’ side but my Chinawoman is spoiling party on womens’ side. believe the most medal by any participant was a Chinawoman on short track with 6 medals

  2. M4L,

    agreed,
    or how about
    Eric Heiden at Lake Placid 1980;
    5 gold medals, won all the competitions
    and set 4 olympic records.

    I like Ohno, but clearly the South Koreans dominate that
    sport for now.

  3. 14 golds is mighty impressive. I view gold as way way way more important than silver, or the BS bronze (ie only in olympics, would 3rd place merit any celebration).

    so the talk of ohno being greatest US winter olympics participant is a joke – 2 gold and a bunch of silver & bronze does not exceed blair’s 5 gold and 1 silver

  4. Hey folks,

    That game was amazing yesterday. Congrats to Canada, most gold ever and defending their national pride in hockey. Miller’s face at the end said it all. I thought they played their hearts out, both teams.
    Congrats to team USA for most medals ever in Winter and gold in traditionally non-US forte’s like bobledding and women’s downhill and men’s cross country.
    Can’t wait for the summer in London.

  5. OK, anyone care to speculate exactly which Yankees DIBS saw over the weekend? He seems to have an informed report.

    Meanwhile, I put the over/under at 12:35 for CGar’s first post during new gig.

  6. “Yankees suck” – DIBS

    Is that Yankees, as in all people above the Mason Dixon line, but primarily in the NorthEast OR “THE” Yankees?

    Re: Death by banging head against marble fireplace, I have started a Brownstoners suicide prevention hotline. (although marble fireplaces do clean up nicely) I remember being talked in off the ledge a few times by kind brownstoners during my renovation and I truly do understand the feeling.
