I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not worth spending anything more than $6-8 per pound if you’re not going to brew it at a high enough temperature. Most coffee machines fail to reach such temperatures afet about a year of use and the only really good way, cheap, to get it is to use a French press and heat the water to 195-205. You’ll find that, most likey, your drip machine is not heating to that temperature.
Slopefarm, my confusing post….meant to say, you probably didn’t say “it was worth it” but you were very compassionate/kind in all your comments. The last chapter was the three stooges destroying my new front doors 3 years ago…..
“P.S. It’s really the money hemorrhage, and all the shading and lying, that makes reno such a pain, not the trauma of taking apart a house. If we did ours with an ample financial cushion, I would have emerged far less traumatized.”
Yeah, come to think of it, you probably didn’t say that, but the compassion came though.
online.
Also another excellent coffee available online, though not cheap is Old City Coffee, Balzac Blend…not inexpensive at $13.95.
