If we’re talking about a picnic, I would definitely recommend Governor’s Island over City Island.
For some reason, City Island disappoints me. The restaurants there are not much better than Red Lobster, but they try to pretend they’re something more. I used to go there alot when my daughter was at Fordham.
Wait, is PLUSApalooza happening at Govs Island or City Island. I thought we were starting with Govs Island, which is likely easier for many folks here to get to.
cmu, anytime! I haven’t owned a car since I moved to New York and we’ve stilled managed, quite easily at that, to be able to get around the city with two kids from the day they were born. We pretty much ditched the strollers as soon as we could and never looked back. It’s paid off big time as The Champs almost never complain when we’re out walking distances that others, especially suburban parents, wouldn’t even dream of walking with their munchkins.
where is governer’s island and what subway stop is it near?
*rob*
Govs island opens in june

Maybe I should have coined the term PLUSApaloser instead to make it more a propos.

c-gar, since it’s going to be awkward, have some fun with it. Hecuba would be fun convo.
“plusapalooza” in the City! I love it.
Let’s chew on it. Good dates? Days?
