Coo – just as long as they don’t live in the McKibben Lofts – they probably have some hardcore bedbugs!! hahaha
If we’re going down Van Brunt St, we can make a 1/2-block side trip down Van Dyke St. to show folks where I was born. Then, on Van Brunt St., we can go into my dad’s VFW at Sullivan Street. It has a public bar, and this is where the old-timers hang out. We’ll probably get our asses kicked in, but it would be a vintage Brooklyn experience.
It doesn’t open until JUNE? Well… okay. So that’ll have to wait. What about a slog out to Red Hook instead? Maybe we could get Key Lime pies at Steve’s and meet at that little circle park overlooking the Statue of Liberty? Then we could all head to IKEA and take over the place? Or we could wander en mass down Van Brundt, trying every pastry, every bourbon, every cup o’ Joe along the way?
