  1. Dave, much as I respect some of your conservative views (!), I am surprised by your swallowing the tea party idiocy and the ‘ginormous-deficit-the-sky-is-falling-during-a-recession’ kool-aid.

  2. “Would you all be willing if the Gov’t was to institute a “Voluntary Tax” -to sign up for it?
meaning you can choose to give $1,$5,$10 per month to the US gov’t for tax purposes out of your paycheck for the Feds to use on whatever it is that needs funding that would help the country at large (infrastructure, education whatever)”

    No, not at all.

To go back to what DIBS just said: I don’t think folks understand the essence of the Teabag movement: smaller government that pulls its overextended nose out of places it doesn’t belong, and more accountability for the money it does spend. Until THAT happens, I don’t want to give them one more cent of my money.

If folks on the left want to continue to believe that the Teabaggers are just a bunch of Aryan Nation nutjobs, be my guest!! If Scott Brown wins in Massachusetts and you still want to put your head in the sand, be my guest.

  3. “…has BECOME much more popular amongst women…” (!)

And I thought you were kidding when you mentioned it in the first place. This is like saying you are surprised about these tiny little bar codes on grocery items that go ‘BEEP’ when you swipe them across a little dark window on check out counters…

  4. bxgrl, my only point was that, IMHO, Rahm had NOTHING to apologize for. I think the Dems need to stand up to people like Sarah Palin is all. (You do recall I’m a Dem criticizing my fellow Dems, right?) (I’d say I’m a birther, but MM and Arkady always take me seriously for some reason.)
