“My perfect evening:
Watching Jersey Shore in my Snuggie while holding a bowl of dill pickled seasoned buttered popcorn in one hand and the Hitachi Magic Wand in the other.”
Yes, Biff, that sounded soooo gay that, before I saw your follow up post, I was just gonna ask you if I could use this as my quote on my Match profile (minus the dill pickle seasoning!).
Oh Benson, please. You’re out of your mind if you think the majority of these ‘tea baggers’ are intelligent, fiscally responsible and concerned citizens just thinking outside the box, and trying to ‘get their country back’, whatever the f*ck that means.
Most of them would leap out of their skins if one were to even suggest a decrease in the services they have come to expect – all run and paid for courtesy THE GOVERNMENT – or if one were to suggest enormous reductions in spending in Medicare, Social Security and the military. All of which make up the VAST majority of spending and the deficit. And fwiw, most economists found the stimulus package to have been absolutely necessary, and that it probably prevented an even worse situation. Many believe it didn’t go far enough.
Nokilissa, the pork spending is WAY out of line. There’s no accountability to where stimulus money is going. In fact, the ONLY area where it seems there’s accountability as to who got what and who has repaid what was the TARP money.
The pork issues are one of the main reasons that local constituencies are throwing out their incumbents. yes, it sounds like irrational lunacy but even the pork recipients see that this has all gotten too far out of hand.
Of course the two republicans don’t think it’s a good idea.
But I SAID it’s a voluntary tax – so you two don’t have to contribute
I’d be more than happy to give $5 per month to the US govt IF I either had some sort of say in where my money is spent and/or transparency of where the voluntary tax gets spent
seriously am SICK to my stomach though over BOTH sides of congress/senate being stalled and politically inactive
it’s an outrage – but what worries me more is that the Tea Party nutjubs are making it out to be that Obama is this inactive president who really only cares about bailing out banks and giving $ to Health insurance companies
it’s these damn congress people on both sides holding up progress not the president!

c-gar, ouch, I couldn’t text fast enough, it’s only a 2 minute program and I didn’t want to miss a second.

Wait, did that sound as gay as I think it did?

“Biff, Marky Mark was gay America’s soft porn poster boy!!!!
That was very homo.”
Yep, I posted that to distract all of the closeted and not-so-closeted Republicans here so Noki and bxgrl could have the last word.
