Satellite comes back on its own usually. You just have to press the reset button or unplug/replug it. Doesn’t go out very often (much more in the early days, c.2001), it takes a major storm like this.
Sorry CGar. Liek I explain in my blog post I’m just freaking out about how little time we have left and the enormity of what I feel like I need to accomplish.
I didn’t mention it in the post but this room was the ONLY room in the house that the previous owner didn’t reno. before selling. Our theory is she had her adult disabled daughter living in that room and she didn’t want to uproot her in order to do so.

So do you all have hard-wired dsl? What do you do about the satellite – fix it yourselves or have to have service call?

Ah, you answered my question Cargar. Sigh. I guess I should have stopped at Blockbuster and bought some 4 for $20 movies. Urgh.
Cargar, is your satellite working?
Snappy, all your “programs” are preempted by weather coverage anyways. My satellite is out too. A rare time that I prefer cable.
THL, check your damn email!! Been worried about you.
