  1. “Alito’s protest came when the president said: “With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections. (Applause.) … And I’d urge Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to correct some of these problems.”

  2. Noki, Did you watch that “Republican response”? What was THAT?!

I howled the whole way through it. Absurd. The locale, the attitude. Jon Stewart will have fun with that tonight, mark my words.

  3. DIBS, now that my people is on TOP of the world, “Chinaman” is akin to the oft-used street term “the MAN” – ie as the one in charge of it all pulling the strings.

kidding aside, Chinaman can be used in a way to trigger a violent confrontation from me or trigger a smile when used by friends in a friendly man. I’m smart enough to decipher the intent behind it’s use and react accordingly. as with any word, one can use it in a positive or a negative way so I gauge the intent and not react solely on the word/reference itself
