  1. “And it’s always really important stuff being discussed like when some halfwit answers the phone in a movie theatre.”

Unfortunately, halfwits are everywhere in this city!

That connectivity should be expected to be in place around 2025, I would guess.

  2. from NYT Article
“The meatballs were a travesty, with the consistency of an eraser and a distinct taste of stale cooking oil.”

    They tasted my meatballs 🙁
Actually, mine came out good. A bit ethnic (and not Italian) tasting. I shouldn’t have added mint.

  3. massive RFP’s went out already to extend wireless connectivity into the NYC subway system. dont know who won the bid and if work has started. once done, our mobile phones will work underground

Great. Looking forward to assholes throughout the train that don’t know how to carry on a conversation without everyone else hearing it.

And it’s always really important stuff being discussed like when some halfwit answers the phone in a movie theatre.

I see the return of Bernie Goetz .

  4. There are only two countries in the world that can feed themselves w/out importing food; Russia and the United States. In many ways, China’s huge population hinders it as much if not more than it helps it.

  5. “if the Dems lose -and it will be in part from their own stupidity- then this country has short, very defective memories. So we will now re-elect the party that got us into this mess in the first place?”

bxgrl, I agree with you, too. The Dems, including Obama, have no one to blame but themselves for their current predicament (and ours). I personally think the public is going to continue electing (or re-electing) whichever party is out of power, and any non-incumbent, until people in Washington finally stop their partisan bickering, listen to the country, step up to the plate, and accomplish something for a change.
