Legion, yeah, I think Layla was Patti Harrison. Clapton was fooling around with her while she was married to George. And of course, both guitarists are on While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

The baroness has Nica’s Dream (Blakey), Pannonica (Monk), and a bunch of others. Monk’s “Coming on the Hudson” (no hetero or homo — only here would I even need to make the disclaimer) was inspired by the view from Nica’s house.

Yes, the baroness is a great story. Don’t know if there is a good bio, but would make a great movie.

Gem- Wow, the globes. My favorite two dresses I see got battered a bit in the press The first being Chloe Sevigny’s and the other being Drew Barrymore’s. The one everyone loves that Kate Hudson was wearing just looked like fondant icing to me. Stick her on a wedding cake already. Now I’m just waiting for the Grammys.

Loving the co-op. I also like Dave’s ideas for use of the space. Very functional.

Kens- So You Think You Can Dance is a favorite show in this house. Even my husband gets excited to watch it. I’m jealous you got to meet those guys. Such talent.

Ok- I want comments and thoughts from the heteros on here regarding the NYTimes article this morning.(yes, I know ,Benson, you find them irrelevant) — men marrying women more financially succussful or women dating men lower socio-economic.

If you were young and dating age (or still are) — what is liklihood of becoming involved with less educated man or more educated/successful woman?
