  1. Did anyone go that David Byrne lecture last night at the Bell Jar?

Do you really think there are sophisticated people on this blog that go to lectures??????

PLUSAS, we got the newbies fooled. Let’s whip out the sex talk PRONTO!

  2. Hey blowfish- won’t be able to today. I’m leaving in a few minutes to go visit my 101 year old uncle. But you know where I stand on these things 🙂

Legion- I bet you think Fox News will be even more fair and balanced with SP on board. 😉

  3. Kens,
Don’t forget that Georgia took on a much younger lover in her final years in NM. I bet she was quite the looker even then. This of course was way before MILFs and GILFs, again ahead of her time.

    Arkady,

is your name Hermine by any chance?

    etson,

you may be right about the Dem holding the seat in MA,
but it is fun to watch them sweat it out. and you have to admit, the momentum is on Brown’s side with a week to go.

  5. Biff, I think replacing the Oreos is as ethical as a hotel charging you $16 for a can of Macadamia nuts. (Not to mention brilliant, and I can’t believe I’m too stupid to never have thought to replenish the minibar rather than pay those exorbitant prices.)

  6. Herman Hesse was a fantastic writer and one of my all-time faves. Steppenwolf was a great book! Although Harry was bit of a sad character, no? It’s been awhile since I read that one. Tennessee Williams and Cormac McCarthy are also on top of my list.
