Gemini,
I’m in the process of redefining my career a bit and I’m well into my 40’s. But my profession allows that.
It really depends on your current career, your future goals and if there’s a reasonable market after retraining.
FWIW:
am 34 and have a BA in poli-sci, but am interested in becoming a Physician’s Asst. so I would have to pretty much start from scratch at the undergrad level and then fast-trak it along at the Graduate level…
Am also one of those dreamers who think i can open up my own bakery/cafe place…..
PS – I work for a record company in marketing and I am soooo done and totally not interested in working in music anymore (but it’s all I know as I have been here for 11 years)
Legion, Stoli & Cranberry on me . . . but ya gotta show up

Also Gem, you might was to change industries but still stay within the same career choice (sort of), kinda what I did. Couldn’t be more happier.
Gem, out of interest, what industry are you contemplating about?
Check this out.
Models of buildings made from toothpicks.
It’s so impressive.
