  1. DH:
    want my job?
oh the best is when we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a well known band/artist to go overseas, then once he/she/they arrive decides they don;t want to do the promo we set up for them….
    good times man good times

give me the older established bands to work with as they tend to be the coolest and nicest people around!

  2. jessi, traveling nurse is still in demand. Cousins are in that field and they are doing pretty well but with everything that’s going on in healthcare reform now, who knows.

I can give you one direct example and I am sure that legion can give you a few more. Say you are elderly and have diabetes. about 5-7 years ago, Medicare would approve for nurses to come to your house every day to give you insulin shots if you needed it and unable to give one to yourself. Now, they say only once or twice a week for visits/monitoring and when you ask them what an elderly person going to do if he needs shots the other days of the week and for example he/she is going blind or his/her hands shake. Medicare answer…. teach one of their relatives to come in and give him/her shots or send them off to a nursing home. Great system we got and it’s only going to get worse.

  3. Legion, I know people that do X-ray tech stuff. is it only like 2 years or schooling? But don’t they get paid like 60-70 tops?

What’s radiation therapy? how much schooling? only hopsital jobs?

    kens,
for x-ray techs, yes they top out at 60-80, but considering you can become one in two years without a four year degree, you’re talking about a 21 year old with a good salary for the next 40 years and practically no debt. good for those changing careers too.

radiation therapists are specialized for administering radiation treatments to cancer patients for the most part.
if you know someone who has had a technetium/gallium or indium scans they met a radiation therapist. or for those who have had cancer therapy. downside; exposure to radiation.
