Gem, I want to get a Masters in Historic Preservation. Columbia has the best NYC program out there, the only other alternative being Pratt. Columbia also has faculty I really would like to study with, especially Andrew Dolkart, who is Chairman of the graduate program. He literally wrote the book. Pratt has an excellent program as well, but their emphasis is different, and less architectural. I’m a frustrated architect at heart. Both are quite expensive, and while I could walk to Pratt, I’d rather go to Columbia.
My ideal job in the US would be working for a land conservancy that bids against housing developers to keep open space free of improvements for perpetuity…
Legion,
So if I become a patholgy asst or radiation therapist I can get a 25 wide? Who knew that the salary could support a 3 mil mtg. Man, I am in the wrong profession!
wow lesbiman, didn’t know that. I certainly hope there will be a cure for diabetes in 10 years since diabetes seems to run in my family and given my appetite for anything sweet, I am doomed to get it at some point in my life.

Oh, and kids will love it. I recently took teenage niece and nephew and they were in awe. But stupid me forgot to bring binoculars.

Yes, thanks, CGar…that’s it.

“My ideal job, aside from my current one, would be renovating brownstones full-time.”
For yourself or for others?
If for others, believe me, it’s not that glamorous.
20% is spent on design and 80% is spent on technical ‘stuff’
