  1. Sadly, dibs, what you pay doesn’t always match the quality you get. The more you pay the better it is propaganda has been around quite awhile too.

gynos? I’ve had 2 great ones and they did take insurance.

  2. denton is correct, doctors are, largely, not government employees. Where they are, as in the VA hospitals, it seems to me that most of the news would suggest they offer sub-par service.

They are either entrepreneurs (private businessmen) or part of a larger corporation (a hospital like Tenet). They can negotiate with all of their clients on price.

Largeer volume clients (the government) get lower prices but at some point when those clients become unprofitable (as they currently are) the providers drop them…just like the Mayo Clinic in AZ did last week with Medicare…NO MORE CUSTOMERS ACCEPTED.

  3. “quote:
Doctors are supposed to answer to a higher calling

im kinda scratching my head at that one…

rob- you have fleas! Go to a vet.

  4. bxgrl, all I was saying is that it makes a difference as to how much they get paid for their services. It has nothing to do with any “higher calling” propoganda.

If you hire a guy to dig a hole with a shovel you can pay him about $20 an hour. when you decide to hire a $300,000 backhoe for the job you are going to pay a lot more.
