  1. “Well legion- maybe you should look at the connection between the Bush administration and the Saudis. 19 of the 20 9/11 terrorists came form there, and it was the Bush administration that set up a detainee return program to Saudi Arabia (and Yemen, also), and they have not been successful. Not to mention they allow some of the most rabid Anti-Americanism to be taught in their schools. But Bandar Bush maintain a long and affectionate relationship with the royal family still.”

    bxgrl,

I know this is difficult but really, this is no longer about Bush. he’s out in Texas. Now I can go tit for tat all day and talk about the intelligence failure of Clinton’s administration and their failure to neutralize it, and the stolen documents from the national archives that might have proven that failure, and about Jaime Gorelick and the CIA/FBI wall and on and on.
But this is about now, today, people are still getting through. Ask yourself this; if a bimbo from a reality show can get to shake hands with the President of the United States and the Indian Prime Minister without invitation, is there the possibility that somebody is in a pre- 9/11 mindset. Keep in mind that it just took a Dutchman to thwart a potential American plane bombing, no thanks to the TSA.
leave Bush behind and let’s work on the problem by holding those people accountable who are slacking off.

  2. OMFG!! I AM SOOOOOOOOO BORED!!!!! There are about 110 offices and cubes on my floor, and there are only 6 people here today!! Six! Six! Yes, of course I have work to do, but who feels like working on a day like this?!?!

  3. “JB, sorry to hear the date was a no go. I should’ve gone with you and lurked. And when you gave me the signal, I could’ve crashed your date, introduced myself as your ex, professed my undying love for you, and whisked you away!”

That would have been a far better ending than the real one. We split the check and I pointed him in the direction of Park Slope. I’m a modern woman and all, but I think a dude should buy the drinks, no matter what. Who pays on a first date among the gay folk?

  4. “Last night, before a terrible date, CGar and I crashed the Brooklyn Heights Blog meet-up at the Roebling Inn. The place seemed nice but not nearly as cozy as the Brooklyn Inn.”

Sorry for my late entry, but I just escape from the BHB people. Jessi sent me in to convert them, and instead they tried to convert me. All in all, I’d say, as a group, we’re a much more fun and better looking blog than they are. As for Roebling Inn, the best I can say is they have Jameson, DH. Decent space, but nothing special. And JB and I were almost overcome by the fumes from the wood stain.

JB, sorry to hear the date was a no go. I should’ve gone with you and lurked. And when you gave me the signal, I could’ve crashed your date, introduced myself as your ex, professed my undying love for you, and whisked you away!

  5. “Brownstone prices have bottomed. That’s all that matters.”
