  1. Oh right, Legion- does that include redneck Timothy McVeigh types (you know- those American Heartland neo-nazis?). I want terrorists caught as much as you do. But turning the USA into a fascist regime is not the way to do it. We have laws, we have a Constitution- if we don’t live by our own rules, then what’s the sense? The government gets more and more oppressive, fellow citizens turn you in and you sit without trial, lives get destroyed on a suspicion- no evidence needed. Sounds an awful like Nazi Germany.

bxgrl, you seem to spend an inordinate amount of time on concern for “right wing fascist” types when they are not the ones threatning our way of life consistently.
Timothy McVeigh (who blew up the building in 1995), whom you have brought up on more than one occasion was acting as a disturbed individual, not as part of a well organized, well financed, internatinal conspiracy with the stated goal of our complete destruction. Al quaeda and it’s allies, which include entire nations and governments, has been a consistent and credible threat to this nation and other allies. The constitution is not a suicide pact, and when our way of life is threatened it has been set aside for the preservation of our nation, ironically, by two of our “greatest presidents” Abraham Lincoln and FDR. So you see your question about our laws and standards has been asked and answered before and with obvious success since we are still here talking. The constitution and our American ideals are something to work towards and aspire to, but unfortunately in an imperfect world tough choices must be made for the sake of the greater good. By the way, we didn’t turn into a totalitarian mess after 1865 or 1945 as far as I can tell.

I don’t like everything the ACLU does. I don’t agree with it much of the time but they are the watchdogs of everything this country is supposed to stand for. Isn’t it ironic that the GOPscreams the most about too much big government but had no problem giving the government te right to toss people in jail without trails, invade the bedroom and deny women the right to make decisions about their own bodies?

  3. bxgrl, I meant “Nuke” in a figurative way, not literally.

…yeah, DIBS meant dropping a few MOAB’s and Daisy Cutters to make them lose their lunch and crap their pants.

  4. Holla peoples!

Such serious topics. I think I’m going to duck back out make myself a leftover meatloaf sandwich for lunch and come back once you’ve come to your senses and are back to the normal OT jibberish.
