A lot of good automotive and fishing advice which I haven’t benefited from recently (although every time he hears something about people catching stripers in the east river or hudson he tells me about it and asks if I want my old surf rod).
The only other life advice I remember was “don’t get some girl pregnant and drop out of college”, which I suppose wasn’t bad advice, but it wasn’t as good as the jacket thing.
