  1. what about people who bring their own teabags to restaurants and then ask for a cup of hot water. i think they should be charged for that cup of water, no? they do it in coffee shops a lot too. if youre going to sit there all day using free wi-fi and then have the audacity to bring in your own teabags and ask for a cup of hot water… i dont know.. i guess if i liked tea or free wifi maybe id probably do it too, so im not sure what my point is now

  2. The difference between the British version of Twinings Earl Grey Tea and the American version is like night and day. American tea is really weak. Sadly, you have to get tea at a high end establishment and pay $2.50 for a small cup of water and an imported tea bag in order to get a decent cuppa. So not right.

  3. “Doesn’t anybody own a hardbound Encyclopedia anymore?????”

I almost bought some from that blonde dork on the commercials.

“I bet you are going to show me one of those 1-800 numbers…..and there it is”

    Anyone remember that?

  4. Actually, MM, appropriate to our present time, it was an exercise in corporate welfare. Britain not only imposed a high tax on the tea but essentially legislated that the British East India, many of whose principals were members of Parliament, have a monopoly on the tea trade into the colonies. Colonials resented not only the tax but also the restraint on local trade and the self-dealing exercise in corporate welfare.
