bxgirl, cuz i like the word Indian 🙂 so i like saying american indians versus native americans. also native americans is veeeeeeeery disingenuous… cuz you KNOW there were people here before them right? the textbooks dont tell you that. who/what was here i have no clue! but there were animals and stuff so they are more native american really. also India is one of my fav. countries and if i was ever to visit somewhere it would be India. and also being called American Indian seems to have more… i dont know, cultural history than say Native American (the pc term). things change tho, who knows, it’s how i see it. as long as it’s not coming from hate, i dont think it matters. it’s like what do we call races now in 2009? we have white people, black people, hispanic people, asians, ? white… black.. wtf? suonds stupid to me. hispanic covers so much that mexicans are even called that. asian is so broad sounding and the one term that sounds actually okay.
i had a class before college, in college, where a bunch of us (i was one of the only few white people in the entire program) where we all had to sit around and throw racial slurs at each other. it was insane. but at the same time it wasnt insane at all, it was awesome because you never know what people think about what they are being called versus what people are saying or expressing based on what they percieve. so on that note i say VIVA LA ( i hate the french btw) American Indians! 🙂
“Beyonce is overrated. I see better-looking chicks in the subway. She does have good thighs, I agree. But she can’t sing worth a sh*t and IMHO is about as intriguing as a traffic cone. Not that anyone cares about what I think about Beyonce.”
Amen – I feel the same about Rihanna (except she’s pretty damn hot though)
cobble, there have been many small indigenous cultures that, in the past, have always been peaceful. Howvere, things usually turn bad when colonization begins.
$24 for manhattan was initially, a peaceful bargained exchange.
“ENY, lol, but that song’s appeal is from the video…watching those thighs! LOL”

rob- stevie is being true to his trollish nature. He’s not asking anything because he wants a real conversation. (Why do you refuse to use the term Native American instead of American Indian? I do the opposite so I’m curious).
snappy- the lovable cat is a mutation. Seem to be quite a few born with several sets of ears. (The better to hear you opening up the cat food can).

True, but Miss Muffett still thought $24 was WAY too high a price to pay at the time.
