I also like a little diced tomato or even diced roasted red peppers, garlic, and parmesan cheese and I cook the rice in stock- chicken, beef or veg.not water.
Right, I’ve been to Scotto’s. I got some kick ass Cognac from there once. From what I remember, it seemed like half the family was working there and they were very old school CH/CG Italian, and very helpful.
Do you make stuffed zucchini/peppers/cabbage?
I made them the other day and didn’t come out great. I followed someone’s recipe. I just looked online and found a recipe with more ingredients (cinnamon??, cornflour, tomato) than I used.
What do you put in your stuffing mix?
Besides the obvious: rice, ground meat, onions, parsley, salt, pepper, olive oil.
I’ve never had a bad bottle from Olivino. There are 2 shops, one on Marcus Garvey in Bed Stuy and I think the other one is in Fort Greene or Clinton Hill (FoGreCill). I don’t think there’s a bottle over $35 at the one in Bed Stuy
The liquor shop at CostCo has a decent selection & excellent prices. You don’t have to be a CC member.

I went to Smith and Vine last night and couldn’t believe how loud they were blasting the music. Do they think it is some frat bar?

“This year’s survey, released yesterday, put the cost of
feeding 10 people at $42.91.”
What? Where? How?
— whatever it costs to feed them is certainly much less than beverage bill(even if wine has gotten cheaper).
Ooops, just saw you up there.
