  1. Unions – Bad
CEOs / Execs making ridiculous pay – Bad

both bad. not mutually exclusive things. they both get their pay cause of leverage in their favor. regardless, it doesn’t mean I have to like fact unions jack up some items/svcs I encounter daily. Not arguing why I’m correct in not liking unions. I just dont. Anyone who wants to sway me to liking unions, just give me monthly fees to offset the union premium I see in the items & svcs

  2. “Bxgrl – if you’re using Halliburton and fucked up i-banks as the benchmark for saying all CEOs are crooks that’s messed up. There’s plenty of good ones out there.

Thats kinda saying since there have been a few shootings in crown heights – everyone there is a criminal – not accurate or fair

or that unions are bad thing because of some abuses and corruption?

  3. “”carpenters, construction workers, factory workers, creative professionals are looked down on,”

You’re equating what society thinks someone should be paid with how much esteem scoiety holds those persons in. ”

Actually, I think the discussion pretty much proves the point. I know people with far more years of professional education who work in nonprofits at high management levels, and they make half of what a first year lawyer does. A good surgeon is worth his weight in gold- so is a good electrician. Considering how many fires are electrical, I think its fair to say a good electrician is also responsible for life (yes, I’m so stretching it :). But how many people would respect an electrician’s work or think he should earn what a surgeon does?

If we decided to work out a system for really paying people what they are worth, I would be so curious to see what develops.
