That is a fantastic breed, THL. I hadn’t known about them. My wife would never allow me to keep a dog this big. Also read that these guys don’t drool which is NOT characteristic of my dog (a boxer).
Bxgrl- My neighbor Leo is very friendly with the cat. Oddly so. They just adopted another little kitten too. He’s dying to know her but she hides from him. I guess from a 10 week old kittens perspective he’s VERY scary looking!
A wealthy woman was being shown around the hospital.
During her tour she passed a room where a male patient was masturbating furiously.
“Oh my God!” screamed the woman. “That’s disgraceful….Why is he doing that?”
The doctor who was leading the tour calmly explained, “I’m very sorry that you were exposed to that, but this man has a serious condition where his testicles rapidly fill with semen, and if he doesn’t do that at least five times a day, he’ll be in extreme pain and his testicles could easily rupture”.
“Oh, well in that case, I guess its okay” said the woman.
As they passed by the very next room, they saw a male patient lying in bed while a nurse performed oral sex on him. Again, the woman screamed “Oh my God! Now tell me how that can be justified?”
The doctor answered very calmly “Same illness, better health care”.
Legion, thanks. I’ll check the webbing tonight. She’s been known to “over lick” and inflame her paw before. The vet did his best, but she got very upset and agitated, and he didn’t want to push it today. If she doesn’t improve, he’ll sedate her to take X-rays and check for bone growths.
bxgrl, thanks for the offer, but that probably wouldn’t bode well for your cat!
I can just see what would happen if I ever brought one of them home. The cats would freak, then the Great EVLL would kick me out. But they’re so gorgeous, its almost worth risking 🙂

I’m partial to Arctic Circle Dogs (aka Northern Breed Dogs) including the Chow Chow, Samoyed, Akita, and various Husky breeds.
I also had a beautiful white Samoyed for a few years that I took in from my 90-year-old aunt, who took her in from a 56-year-old friend who had died of cancer, who had in turn rescued her. Very sweet dog (but not terribly bright).
I like lurchers – wonderfully friendly & intelligent.
