Rob- Ivanka’s getting married to Jared Kushner. She’s even converted to Judaism for him. They are getting married in an Orthodox ceremony on the 25th.
Too bad really, I think it’d be cool to see TRUMP Bodega’s spring up around town.
Snappy- yelling at your cats in the middle of a sentence? Priceless.
Strand- Rob’s dead on the people who work there are really frickin’ pompous for being the employees in a bookstore. That said, I LOVE The Strand. When I worked in the seaport area I spent a lot of lunch breaks there pursuing.
Benson- Appreciate your doing the research on Polpette(a). I hope you understand now that I wasn’t being emphatic just to break your polpette. I was going on actual information passed down from the older generation of my family. Hence my insistence. Again, thanks for doing the legwork. :).
Oh yeah, heard you apologized for the Sandy V comments too. Thank you. :).
MM, I picture a room that is wall to wall shelving with glass doors (gotta keep the dust out!) and a big ole ugly lazy-boy/barcolounger with hideous upholstry in the center of the room and a small table next to it with a lamp and a bowl of popcorn and a mug of hot apple cider. Heaven.
I’ve had to let go of so many books because of space constraints but i still have them falling out everywhere. Books are sacred. someone told me to get Kindle but I wouldn’t do it. there is nothing like a real book- you can get immersed in the printed page. The digital image- not nearly so much. I wonder why that is?
Jokester – You’d have to upholster one bench so you can stretch out to read.
I can do audiobooks, but Kindle seems like downright sacrilege.
Morning all!

Yeah, I’ve never understood how the shelter magazines always have pix of bookshelves w/ room for little chotchkas.

– I would love a large library in my home,
My large home library would have wall to wall books, a NYC train car with plastic seats and fluorescent lighting and pee in the corner.
Hey, that’s where I do most of my reading.
“They call it a Career Action Plan and I have to write my Key Strengths, Key areas of Development and Actions”
I hate that kind of corporate BS. That’s why I never worked in a big company. Couldn’t take it.

– JB vs BJ – isnt one just the backward of the other?
I’m doing it right.
Love,
BJ
