While the Strand could be a bit more organized, that is the ultimate thrill for book lovers – to wander aimlessly amongst a ton of books never knowing what you will find that strikes your fancy. Of course you wallet winds up getting struck as well, but that’s another matter 🙂
Sooo, who wants to write my long terms Objectives and assessment for my management to see. They call it a Career Action Plan and I have to write my Key Strengths, Key areas of Development and Actions. Anyone care to comment on that one. I can’t believe Management actually takes this stuff seriously. There is a time frame column too. Ehhhhh.
My only problem with that is that I’ve got a book sickness…I can’t let go of them! Unfortunately (for my parents at least) my folk’s rec room is covered wall to wall with books because of me. I’m just waiting to hit the mega and buy a house and convert a huge room into a library. Sigh.
ugh the strand. ive only sold books there. too hard to find stuff. and dont get me started at the beyond queeney queens who work there. ugh. newsflash you geriatric cashier, you are NOT celebrity because you work at the f’ing Strand!
