I’d like to congratulate President Obama for winning the Nobel Peace Prize. He won because he has inspired the world, and because he is a voice of calm and reason, and a marked change from the man he replaced. Good for him.
Who else is in the running? Sad to say, there’s not much peace or attempts at peace in the world, especially on a global level. No, he’s not perfect, and he’s made some dubious domestic choices, but I still trust that the country is in good hands, and the world is safer with him in charge, instead of Bush, or McCain. The Nobel committee can give the award to whomever they choose. They chose him. Deal with it.
No pummeling from me (glancing over left shoulder). I like Obama a lot (although, like you, I voted for Hil in the primary), but this is clearly an aspirational award. The Nobel folks are trying to give a little worldwide boost to his efforts to change the tone of things. Think Cairo speech, baby steps with Russia and Iran, etc. But nothing has happened for me to get up and applaud this as well-deserved. It’s way too soon. Here’s hoping he earns it after the fact. Here’s also hoping that this doesn’t devolve into an OT foodfight.

I say that we return to that riveting debate about peanut butter!
Let’s go through brands.
Skippy man here!
snappy, per DIBS’ previous comments on BS ppties west of malcom X, I think this one is ~450-500k post renovation.
How’d the Phillies do last night Dave?
Which sock salesman DH?
dibs, employee. Seemed to be a little nervous around pasty whitties.
“CGar…did you steal that “Carry on” from somewhere over there>>>>>>>”
Dave, “Carry on” is all mine. “No homo” and “Homo” I stole.
Can’t we all join forces today and make fun of the sock-salesman in Park Slope??
Cgar,
