Wow m4L – you inspire me!
A bus driver let us off on the ramp out of the Lincoln Tunnel once when there was that kind of chaos going on – I was really grateful.
One of my cats is certain there’s a treasure under his water bowl & is determined to turn it over to see.
Another thing you may want to do is to stop by at the old American Can factory building on the corner of 3rd Street and 3rd Ave. This place is chock full of artists and there is usually something going on. Also, on the corner of Union Street and *I think* Nevins, there is a porcelain studio that is open to the public, and they’ve got some really fine things in there.
speaking of cabbies, a buddy of mine told me he got into a cab where the guy had a headset on and he was taking technical support calls for some bank. wow, now that’s a hard working dude
lechacal, my issue with most cabs in NYC is why can I always get air con that works perfectly in third world countries like Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand not to mention HK, Singapore & Japan and NOT in NYC??????????
If the A/C doesn’t work there’s no tip. Most cabbies are morons.

DIBS I can actually picture you losing your shit on a cabbie and getting out in the middle of the FDR.

An art gallery just opened on 5th Ave and around 10th or11th Street. It’s right on the corner – you can’t miss it.
Arkady, the amplified antenna worked so well for my neighbor that I got one myself and disconnected the cable.
