“We have a PLUSA secret handshake? How come I didn’t get that memo? Cobble, you’re slacking!”
Where’ve you been kens?! You clearly haven’t been keeping up with the addenda we sent out! Chapter 6, lines 25-92 clearly describe in minute detail, the precise manner in which ALL PLUSA membership holders MUST greet one another in public spaces.
Snappy and CGar and Biff know about it. [right guys, back me up here…]
same deal with asians. my parents took bs jobs forever. my aunt and her husband went thru the same career change as your parents. My aunt was a respected and decently ranked agricultural scientist in China but had to work in garment factory before she became a store manager somewhere else. Her husband was the head Doctor who ran a sizeable hospital but had to beg to be a nurse’s assistant. I remember my cousins telling me how they hear their dad crying in shame at nights and that they owe them to “make it” in this country for their parents’ big sacrifices. This is primary reason why so many immigrant kids do well in school and if they don’t do well, it aint because they didn’t try hard enough. Hunger to succeed is powered by more than just doing well for yourself but to help confirm their parents’ sacrifices were not wasted or their hopes misplaced when they came to this country.
Chicken…I loved them from when the “Pure Moods” cds came out years ago. They included the song “Teardrop” on the Pure Moods Cds (the theme from House) and I instantly loved them. Freaky thing…When I first bought the Pure Moods Cd I listened to Teardrop repeatedly and I kept daydreaming about being over water and moving it was raining. Then I came to NYC and was using my cd walkman while riding the D train one night going over the bridge and that song came on my walkman. Totally odd.
I got a trivia question for all of you up in the Closing Bell thread^^^^^^
***note to self: don’t marry a Chinese woman next time so I’m not always expected to fight for the bill***
