I might be inclined to sell and move if I were in your shoes. It looks like this fight will escalate. I guess it couldn’t hurt to do one lawyerly shot across the bow and see if that doesn’t make the problem go away. I am not sure I would want to be in the middle of a brawl with my co-co-oppers and then be away for 6 months. And think of it this way, if you move, it is not their victory, it is their loss. Yes, legion, and if I wanted to make some headway convincing people about the importance of some national issue or policy, the brownstoner open thread is exactly where I would start. And I would cut and paste the same facts over and over, no matter what kind of a response I got.
Just because I don’t want to discuss health care policy with you in particular doesn’t mean the nation’s polity is going to hell in a handbasket. You’ve given me no reason to think it would be a fruitful or interesting exchange. Most people were drawn to this site initially due to some interest in local real estate. The OT is where we just kind of hang out and chill. Not sure you will get anywhere trying to get a meaningful health care debate going on this site, but you dont’ help yourself by posting questionable facts and then going guns ablaze at anyone who calls you on it.
Facts aside, you haven’t shown the temperment of someone that someone who disagreed with you might be interested in furthering a discussion with (sorry about the grammar there). Benson and bxgrl agree on next to nothing politically, but had a nice long chat at the last get together to really explore their respective perceptions. So far, I can’t see anything in your posts that suggest you are capable of reflective dialogue.
