really the only beaches ive been to in nyc is coney island. i like it there. i dont mind dirty beaches at all. i do like the beaches in south jersey though. but it’s a little more annoying to get down there. i dont have a driver’s license or a car and buses from port authority take forever and are pretty expensive.

Agree with you Adam re restaurants.
I would be willing to go into a less well paid career so would not be looking to keep similar income necessarily. I am blessed with cheap tastes!

Yikes, you picked the wrong crowd for this topic. I guess you hadn’t noticed that the majority of the group spends an inordinate amount of time discussing their love of all things Asian.
My husband dated a Japanese woman for a while and everyone assumed he fell into the creepy white guy category. Hardly the case, they were both serious pool players and bonded over that. In fact I heard through the grapevine (his sisters) she was quite the opposite of delicate, submissive and giggly.

etson- NYC needs teachers. You would be great at it.
Etson – as for discipline, it really depends what school you’re in. Luckily I’ve never had serious problems. You could check out private and Catholic schools, which generally pay less but have far better working conditions – no absurd bureaucracy, better discipline (i.e. kick the disruptive kids out), and smaller classes.
Rob, for just plain sand and water, Coney is closest but not particularly nice in my opinion. If you want a nicer beach and want to try out surfing, Long Beach is quite nice and an easy LIRR ride (drops you right on the beach). The people are a bit better looking in Long Beach I think.
no, it’s totally true. (i watch all kinds of porn btw) and ive noticed that a lot of porn (straight) that has asian women in them, the women act and look like they are 11. it’s a little creepy.
