Etson – I work with a wonderful school in lower Manhattan and would be happy to set you up with teaching a class this coming fall if you want to test drive teaching. The school is k-8, so it might skew younger the kids are really great and I think you’d love it!
Etson – I hear you! I need a change too. I would love to be in a job where I am either making a difference in someones life or making a difference for myself and my family’s dynamic.
Rob – take the Q train to Coney Island, get off, cross street towards boardwalk and you are on the sand in 7 mins!

I was planning on not coming to Ellis as actually have a busy week at work. But I think I am upgrading to ‘maybe’ as I realize that spending time with good people is more important!!

Etson- Good Luck with the search. There isn’t much out there these days. Starting over and trying to keep the same standard of living is a tough feat in this economy.
I’ve been kicking around the same ideas, may go back to grad school after the wedding is over. I’m just bored with my job. I’m good at it and make enough cash but it doesn’t stimulate me and it isn’t what I set out to do when I was younger.
Been toying around the idea of opening a wine and tappas bar, but restaurants are SOOOO risky.
Rob – Where was the post office post? I’ve written to boro pres, cb-6, state senators, etc. about possible closings (see yesterday’s Only The Blog Knows Brooklyn) but in the Times today they said Brooklyn isn’t on the list of possible closings.
Yes, dug a nice little hole there. I am not saying that I think that asian women fit that description. What I am saying is that it seems like there are plenty of middle aged white guys out there who have some kind of a fetish about that stereotype and seek it out. Don’t confuse that with my thinking anything at all about asian women. Sheesh.
