denton, I might have came across wrong. NYC did have a lot of great things about it as well. I have great memories, otherwise I would have jetted first chance I could. I love it as well but I still wouldn’t turn back the clock. Like Arkady said, as you grow up, the world changes but NYC overall, in my opinion, changed for the better, not worse.
and I <3 denton too! I miss those same things and I know when we have to move on. It takes more hard work and gumption to make things better than it does to sit and whine about the past- denton has the right of it.
(Loved meeting your better half last night.) Sorry we didn’t have more chance to talk. Hopefully next time.
“Oh well- you were one up on us in the Bronx. The Bronx got burned down- and not for progress. Homes completely destroyed, people burned to a crisp, neighborhoods decimated- not just “subjugated”. Think it was violent in Brooklyn? Oh- and did I neglect to mantion the disease factor that resulted from all the arson? And not the changing demographics but the NO demographics? You would have been considered a wuss in the Bronx. It’s only been within the last maybe 10-12 years the Bronx has begun to come back. Compared to that, Brooklyn was practically a cakewalk.”
For you to experience this you birthday is before 1965. The reason the Bronx was barbeque is the speculation from the 60’s Bxgrl just like today. Poverty and crime and inflation was rampant!
Why is it that you and Montrose Morris have to be Brownstoner’s lap dogs???? Can anyone say anything with out the both of butting in. Do Jon have is Nut Sack down your throats??
