  1. Sorry to be posting soooo late. Had the best time ever, hope we get together again soon. The venue was very tranquil and we didn’t have to shout. I owe Montrose a chat. Was Heather there? I would have liked to meet her.

The fellow sitting with Rob who just wandered in, the one you think might be the What, told me his name was Cory. He said he’d been “away” in Europe for a long time, had grown up in the neighborhood, and had only lived in it a few months (now).

Rob, you are delightful and we all love you, but it’s painful to see someone drink so much (by the time we chatted, you could not finish a sentence).

Thank you, THL, for the Newburgh link, I will check it out.

  2. “We don’t have time to adequately take apart Benson’s tirade right now, but we find it funny that Benson and his new-found buddy, The What, can’t seem to get their stories straight: Benson accuses us of being anti-development and The What accuses us of being a cheerleader for the development boom. Which is it? Sometimes the truth is a little more nuanced than that. And, for the record, we were born and raised in New York and, yes, even got mugged a couple of times in the 70s, so you two can stop pulling your city cred crap. It’s getting very old. You don’t have to have grown up in the Bed Stuy or the Red Hook Houses to be a New Yorker. Heck, you don’t even have to have been born here. You are both blinded by your own burning self righteousness and, ironically given the humble origins you both love to brag about, sense of entitlement.”

This like yelling after the bully leaves, ROTFLMMFAO!

You know something Jon? You just validated everything Benson and I said about you. Thanks Jon…

Someday this war is gonna end…

  3. You can’t be a SNOB CLUB without members, however. At this point we’re all downgrades.I can see the membership levels now:

Primordial Ooze (for the lowest of the low- hipsters perhaps?); rust; tin; fool’s gold; less than 925 sterling; 10K gold and solid gold.
