  1. rob…Chicago was a lot less promiscuous. It didn’t have anywhere near the same number of bathouses for one thing. Drugs were not as prevalent. That said, many people were dieing early on. My first bf died in the late 80s. I will always remember he took me to Evita with Mandy Patinkin.

    was chicago different than nyc at the time? it’s scary. and it appears that gay people these days have all of a sudden decided to stop using condoms again figuring hiv is manageable and they will eventually get it anyway.
