Excellent! A friend of mine was just there for a couple weeks as well, traveling the coast. Hope you’ll post some pix! Were you in Sydney the whole time or did you move around?
Hmm, you were just asking me about ‘The Great OT Debacle of ’09’, which has been resolved. I really really ought to check that email address more often!
Benson, the line at that TD bank to use the change counting machines are worse than the breadlines in haiti right now. seriously. the machines are also always broken, and honestly, i dont trust that they skim off the top to begin with.
the actual process of counting change is very humbling. every two weeks when im doing it im like damn, you gotta stop this crap! lol
yet two weeks later im back in the play-doh jars. actually it’s not really every 2 weeks these days, more like once every 2 months or so.. so im getting better!
but yeah, i aint standing on those long TD line change counter lines anymore. totally humiliating. especially when there’s some annoying yuppie couple with 5000 organic sauce jars full of change :-/ and that ALWAYS happens. meanwhile i have a ziplock bag of something probably not even 20 bux worth and you ask them if you can cut since you dont have much and they say no? wtf!?
i also saw the change thingie get robbed last year 🙂 totally insane.
i think the perps got away with it two. three teens (all dorky preppy looking btw) one had a limp. the one with the limp was the one carrying the giant bags/cannister of change!!!! they hopped into a car in the middle of 1st street and 5th avenue.
my roommate said that bank gets robbed at least once a month. i live right next door!!! i have to keep saying, bad idea bad idea bad idea even tho i could totally make an awesome exit right into my building.
Trip was awesome! Sydney is a most inviting place. Perhaps will live there someday. Glad to be back too but seriously the beauty of the summer there versus the winter here is a harsh adjustment biscuit to swallow.
cobble–better late than never. did I say anything interesting?
